HIVE DAY CAMP
HIVE Day Camp is all about fostering friendships, teamwork, and an active, engaging camp experience! Our program is designed to bring kids together through fun and dynamic group activities that encourage creativity, collaboration, and play.
Each day, campers will be guided by their counselors through a variety of age-appropriate activities, games, and crafts, all designed to spark imagination and connection.
Campers will have the freedom to:
⭐ Create their own games and explore imaginative play.
⭐ Work together on collaborative challenges that build teamwork.
⭐ Enjoy a mix of competitive and traditional games in a supportive environment.

STAFFING AND CAMPER SUPPORT
At HIVE Day Camp, we ensure that every camper receives the attention and guidance they need with a low camper-to-staff ratio of approximately 8:1.
Each group is led by:
🔹 A Head Counselor – Experienced college students (18+) who bring energy, leadership, and care to their groups.
🔹 A Junior Counselor – High school students who assist in activities, engage with campers, and support the camp experience.
All Head Counselors undergo a comprehensive background check and are carefully selected by Hillsborough Recreation to ensure a safe, positive, and enriching environment for all campers.

Every day at HIVE is packed with exciting, age-appropriate activities designed to keep campers active, engaged, and having fun!
🏆 Traditional Camp Games – Capture the Flag, tag games, Toy Story Dino Egg Hunts, and more.
⚽ Sports & Team Games – Soccer, football, baseball, basketball, frisbee, hockey.
🎨 Creative Crafts – Hands-on art projects that spark imagination.
💦 Water Play Activities – Perfect for cooling off on warm summer days!
🏹 Archery – Learn the basics in a safe and supervised setting.
🎾 Tennis & Golf – Fun and skill-building sessions for all levels.

Choice & Flexibility at HIVE Day Camp
At HIVE Day Camp, we believe in giving kids the power to make choices—including who they spend their day with!Campers have the freedom to choose their own groups within thoughtful age guidelines, allowing them to stay with friends or siblings and ensuring they feel comfortable and excited about their camp experience.
Plus, we offer the flexibility for campers to switch groups daily, giving them the opportunity to build new friendships and explore different dynamics.
Rather than assigning groups based on rigid criteria, we trust our campers to decide what works best for them—because when kids feel happy and included, they have the most fun!
